Bully for You is an Oklahoma state licensed rescue shelter in the Tulsa area that specializes in senior and special needs cases. We are not a high intake or high placement program, but instead focus on quality care for long term foster cases. This includes those who may or may not find homes beyond our care, and who other groups are not willing or not able to take on.
Welcome to Bully for You's $5 Fridays... an event designed to raise funds to help cover vet bills. Caring for so many bullies on a daily basis is not an inexpensive endeavor, especially when so many are double digits in age and/or special needs cases. Please help to spread the word that chipping in a little goes a long way when we all come together. Our goal is to get 100 supporters "on the board" each week... will you be one? ♥
Fundraising
Our work is funded solely by private donations. Day to day expenses, monthly medicines and preventatives, yearly exams and vaccines, illnesses and emergencies... the bills constantly add up. Beyond our monthly virtual fostering for food, and quarterly online auctions to offset vet bills, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to continue the fight to give these bullies a second chance at the life they deserve. Please consider giving any amount toward our cause, and feel free to contact us with any ideas and opportunities you may have that could further help out.
Dog of the Month
Duchess is one of our newest intakes from the Tulsa area. We didn't know until we picked her up that she was supposedly less than a year old, had bilateral cherry eye, and open wounds from fly strike. We didn't know until we took her straight to our vet that she had a bad UTI, hookworms, and giardia. We also quickly learned she had spina bifida, and would be a diaper baby. She received a wellness package for exam, vaccines, and testing. She was recently spayed, but is dealing with some complications, so we had to postpone the cherry eye procedure. Please keep her in our thoughts as she continues her antibiotics and testing.
